Trojans vs Blue Jays Round 2
After defeating Lawrence 56-35 last Friday, the trojan football team was likely to travel to Dodge City as long as they weren’t upset. Instead they’re staying home and will matchup against the only team that has bested them. Junction City traveled to Dodge City and demolished the then undefeated red demons 54-7. Even with the Blue Jays besting the trojans the first time around, senior running back Ky Thomas doesn’t believe they need to change their game plan.
“I think we had players that had only played like four varsity games, and now they have more games under their belt. So it’s not about doing anything different, but not making the same mistakes we made,” said Thomas. “It’s been a rivalry type game every time we’ve played them, so I wouldn’t want to lose to them now.”
The game will be tomorrow at Hummer Sports Park. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students and no activity passes will be accepted.
