Low budget dating ideas
How to impress, without spending lots of hard earned cash
Young love can be a beautiful thing, but it can also be a very expensive thing. Going out to eat has just become too costly, so here are some other ideas that are hopefully just as romantic plus a heck of a lot cheaper.
- Enjoy a Picnic. Picnics are a romantic staple in English literature, and can turn any meal into a luxurious dining experience by offering calming views at a low price
- Go to Ward Meade Park. This park offers more than just turn of the century architecture, it also features a beautiful flower garden, with tranquil waterways and fountains, which I’ve heard are very romantic these days.
- Watch TV. There’s nothing quite like bonding over your favorite TV shows, and it’s economical too. All you have to do is flip on the TV and pop some popcorn. Or, if you’re like me, you can grab a bag of Puffcorn, or two, or three.
- Go for a Walk. Walking literally costs no money, and there are a couple beautiful places to walk in Topeka, if you can find them that is.
- Eat-In. Making your own dinner can be a great way to learn more about your partner.
- Go to the Movie Theater. Since the birth of cinema, couples have been going to the theater not just to see the latest films, but also to enjoy each other’s company. Just remember to get a drink with your popcorn!
In the end, it doesn’t matter what you do, just as long as you’re with the person you love.
Happy late Valentines Day!
