Inside Korean Club
The culture of South Korea has drawn a popular interest over the years which has pushed students to start a club.
“I joined Korean club because it seemed fun and I liked the teacher who sponsors it. Ms. Kim is cool,” Alessandra Chavez, sophomore said.
The Korean club originally met the first and last Friday of each month, but have started to meet more often. The club currently has nine members and participate in various activities when they meet.
“We dance, we watch Korean variety shows and Korean dramas. We also listen to K-Pop,” Nina Tancabelic, sophomore president, said.
The club has done different events outside of school, including making trips to Kansas City and having get togethers at Ms. Kim’s home.
“Last year we went over to Ms. Kim’s house and got to make Korean food and had a little party,” Chavez said.
