A senior at Topeka High, Sophia Friess joined the newspaper staff in 2022. Before that, she was just a girl who loved NPR. The author of approximately one funny Instagram caption, her writing has amassed over 100 likes and has garnered her not nearly enough attention. Friess lives with her parents and a dog she hates at their home in Topeka, Kansas. In her free time she enjoys the fact she does not know how to play chess, and listening to music.
