Trojan Profile: Teven Jenkins
Towering at 6’6” and weighing 305 pounds, Teven Jenkins has known he belonged on the football field since he was 7 years old.
Jenkins, a junior, has recently been contacted by five Division 1 (D1) Schools offering football scholarships including Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, Missouri State, Louisville, and Nebraska State.
“There are five schools contacting me and it is pretty cool. It’s exciting knowing that I’ll be getting college paid for,” Jenkins said.
Jenkins credits his football skills to the his size as well as his intelligence and hard work. Getting exposure from D1 schools has been an honor for him and he looks forward to learning more about the schools.
“It feels wonderful. I’m just really excited and it’s crazy. I can’t believe all the exposure I’m getting,” Jenkins said.
Football is Jenkins’ favorite game because he loves hitting people. He knew in fifth grade that football was something he wanted to continue as he got older. Playing football in high school has been fun for Jenkins and he is excited that he will get to continue.
He encourages people who want to achieve something in football to work hard and be a part of the team.
“Don’t care about who is against you because you just have to hit them, be ready at all times, and always protect your team,” Jenkins said.
