Elizabeth King is a special education teacher who, when not teaching enjoys painting.
When do you engage in your art?
All day, every day, but I really do all or most of my focusing after 9PM.
What was the toughest piece of artwork that you’ve made?
Physically, I used to do glass art. Challenging, I painted a big earthworm mural at Topeka West.
When did you discover your love for this craft?
When I was a kid. My parents didn’t have a lot of money and they worked late so I used to draw to keep busy.
How long have you been painting?
30 years.
When did you paint the mural in your classroom?
Summer before the 2022-2023 school year.

Five.
What was your last big art project?
This classroom mural.
