After waiting for Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, fans will now be able to enjoy some of their favorite food. 10 a.m. Thursday morning, Topeka West High School’s band performed to kick off the grand opening. The first 100 attendees were greeted with welcome gifts with the purchase of one combo meal, creating an atmosphere of excitement.
“I give everything 5 stars; the service was quick and friendly despite the chaos today,” Kile said. “We got our food in maybe around 5 minutes, which is surprising given how long the line is.”
Opening day has been busy all day, with the drive-through line going through the Sam’s Club and Walmart parking lots, holding up traffic through SW Wanamaker Road. Even with the lobby full, Cane’s has had quick service and even better food.
Many students, particularly like William Morrow, who went to Cane’s after school, are excited about the opening of the restaurant, allowing them to have more lunch options closer to campus. 43.8% of Topeka High students who answered a survey said they will be going to Cane’s the first week of opening, while 37.5% said they might go with friends or family.
“I’m so excited that Cane’s is closer,” Morrow said. “I plan on going to lunch with my friends since we all love Cane’s.”
When speaking to many customers, each one loved the food, service, and environment. Not only are the customers excited for Cane’s, but also the workers.
“I am excited to start working at this new location,” a new employee said. “I am ready for this new experience.”
Cane’s has brought more to the Topeka, KS community. Delicious food for all ages, jobs, and a fun environment for all to go to. Many people came with their families, from infants to the elderly.
“Despite the chaos, my baby and I love the food we were served,” Snipes said.
Cane’s commitment to serving high-quality, craveable chicken-finger meals has not only delighted customers with its quick service and quality food, but also created a new community for Topeka, Kan. As Cane’s establishes its presence, the community looks forward to enjoying its food and atmosphere, bringing people together, and creating memories.
