Saying Goodbye to Soccer Seniors
The Topeka High men’s soccer team had their 2017 senior night recognition ceremony Tuesday night before their game against Washburn Rural.
Each senior was recognized along with their parents to celebrate their achievements and memories as members of the Topeka High soccer team.
“I feel like my team has gotten better and better each year and my soccer career coming to a close just means that one opportunity is closing but many more are opening for college.” -Joel Gonzales
“I feel sad because I didn’t know that these four years were going to happen so quickly.” -Chris Sanchez
“I’m going to miss putting that jersey on every game, getting ready, and playing with my teammates.” – Guillermo Gutierrez

“The things I’m going to miss the most are probably practices, team dinners, and all the other seniors from this year.” -Omar Ramirez
“I love all the underclassmen. All of their energy is going to be missed greatly.” -Drew Mahan
“It’s pretty emotional being in my last year. I’ve been playing for three years for the school and it’s finally coming to an end. Hopefully I will continue on in college, we’ll see how it goes.” -Omar Gonzalez
