Insurgent

Insurgent

The second installment of the Divergent series, Insurgent’s opening night was full of tears and laughter. The movie pulled more on one’s heart strings than their romantic side like Divergent did. Audiences got to see how emotional unstable Tris was after all the recent deaths around her. It was easy to feel strong sympathy for the heroine. As Tris searches for allies with Four the stakes rise as she races to hide away from Jeanine. Soon they found out what Tris’s family risked their lives to protect and why then rudite leaders will do anything to stop them.

The movie is filled with action, romance and sorrow, leaving audiences swaying after the rollercoaster of emotions experienced. The majority of ratings were lower than expected and the argument why could go on for hours. The power struggle between all of the characters made the movie ooze with drama.
Overall the second installment was one to watch if you like movies with drama, action and romance. Who doesn’t? Some fighting scenes are graphic so, if you do not condone violence leave the little ones at home. Tris transformers her character from an angry heartbroken girl to a strong key to the future of humanity. I would give the movie 3.5 out of 5 stars.
