Ahmad Winston, A Shawnee Heights graduate as of 2016, released his debut track “On my beddy” on March, 19th, 2018.

There have been limited reviews online about this song, given it’s recent release, but I can tell you that I have my issues with this song.

First off, the lyrics, nobody can understand the lyrics. I know that modern rap is more for the beat and the meaning than the lyrics, but when you sound like your drunk and your voice is coming through the buzzing of an electric fence.

Now I will say, the beat is kinda nice, I like the snapping, the small upbeat drum in the background, but that doesn’t overshadow all of the flaws in the lyrics.

All in all, you can tell he is new to rapping, and hopefully he’ll get better, but as of right now, I will put him in his place among his inexperienced peers.
