Market Day Round 2

Every year the entrepreneurship classes get a chance to create their own business and sell food to students during first and second lunches. Today, May 5, is the second ‘Market Day’ to happen this semester. The selection included ‘walking tacos’, non-alcoholic margaritas, puppy chow, and a Taki stand.

“We had to do diagrams and make sure that we went to the store and did research on our numbers. Once we bought enough supplies, we had to make sure everything was heated,” Tatyterria Gary, walking tacos, said.

Every student goes into Market Day with hopes to sell enough of their product to make money. For some students, their ability to push their product is what is getting them through the day.

“I honestly though we were going to get more sales. It is a little slower and the people that are coming have come because I have been yelling at them,” Riley Kern, puppy-chow, said.
