Dance Team competed in KSPEC

The Topeka High Dance Team competed in the Kansas Spectacular (KSPEC) at Olathe East High School this last weekend.This is the first year the team has competed at an advanced competition such as KSPEC.

The team performed a high-energy pom dance to “All Night” by Icona Pop. Other Topeka area schools attended the competition including Seaman High School, Shawnee Heights High School, Hayden High School, and Washburn Rural High School. Topeka High took home a trophy with a D1 and superior rating.

The dance team will compete in one more competition Saturday, February 13 in Baldwin City at Baldwin City High School. The dance team will be taking two team dances- a hip hop routine and a pom routine, and three duets including jazz, contemporary, and hip hop styles.
