Chance the Rapper is going on tour for the next few months. The “Magnificent Coloring World Tour” will showcase his latest album, “Coloring Book.” If you haven’t listened to the album yet, you’re definitely missing out.
With previous releases “10 Day”, and “Acid Rap”, along with his involvement as the lead vocalist for “The Social Experiment,” Chance started to gain a name for himself in the hip-hop industry.
In Coloring Book, Chance raps about his hometown, Chatham, a rough neighborhood located on the southside of Chicago. He references his childhood and hometown in songs such as “Summer Friends” and “Angels”. Chance also has a prominent gospel influence on the album, clearly heard in “Blessings,” “How great,” “Blessings” (reprise), and “Finish Line/Drown.”
The concert will be held at the Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland in Kansas City on September 21. The doors open at 7 p.m, while the show starts at 8 p.m. The original tickets were sold for around $50. Now, being sold out, the resale value starts around $100 on websites such as Stubhub and Ticketmaster. The tickets are a bit pricey, but this is one performance that you don’t want to miss.
