Marlene Morones, senior, editor of the Topeka High School Sunflower yearbook was declared National Winner in the 2015 Yearbook of Excellence contest.

The contest is sponsored by the Quill and Scroll International Honor Society for High School Journalists in partnership with Balfour, Herff Jones, Jostens, Picaboo and Walsworth yearbook companies.

Judges selected 322 national winners in the contest from over 1,800 entries that were evaluated. The professionals serving as judges commended the heightened creativity of the winners.

Gold Keys and the opportunity to apply for college journalism scholarships were awarded to winners of this contest.
