Q:What do you study at Tech?

“At tech I study the basics of vehicles, such as electrics HVAC brakes steering and suspension engine auto transmission and manual transmission. [Manual transmission] is what I will do at Ranken except at Ranken it will be specific to Toyotas,”


Q:How did you first hear about Rankin?

“I first heard about Ranken through [Dean] Fairweather who had them come in and speak with his class my sophomore year,”

 

Q:What will you do at Ranken?

“At Ranken I will be trained specifically on Toyota’s while going through different courses specific to one part of the vehicle at a time, I will also be doing an internship with Lewis Toyota. So I will do two months at Ranken then come home and do two months with Toyota and alternate for two years,”


Q:How will your education at Ranken benefit you in the long  run?

“It will give me further knowledge about cars specifically in the Toyota industry,”

 

Q:What challenges have you faced to get yourself to this point?

A huge challenge I have faced trying to get to where I am now, has been trying to raise my son while trying to finish out high school,”

 

Q:What are your plans for after college?

“After Ranken I am hoping Lewis Toyota hires me on so I can stay working there,”

 

Q:What has impacted your life the most?

“My mom has impacted my life the most,”

 

Q:Who has influenced you the most? Why?

“My great grandfather because he was one of the best mechanics I know,”

 

Q:Who sparked your interest in cars?

“Honestly I never really had an anyone to spark my interest in them I just have always been into cars by helping family members fix theirs by watching or helping,”
